In The Pink!

A very dear friend of mine gave birth to a beautiful baby girl this week, 'Poppy Grace', so I've just been rumaging through my stash for all things pink to make her a card. Having 2 boys it makes a lovely change to be making something girly!

Cobwebs

After all the lovely sunny weather we've had this last week, it was a bit of a shock to wake up to thick fog....but the old saying 'Every cloud has a silver lining' can be so true sometimes.. I pulled on my wellies, squelched through the wet grass to let my 'girls' out (these are my 12 beautiful hens, pics to follow) I could barely see their coop for the mist, and then I looked up.... it was like nature had hung out her Christmas decorations early, the most stunning cobwebs everywhere, hundreds of them!

Now I'm not a big fan of spiders, in fact I can often be seen running like a mad thing from a room where one has been spotted!, but you have to admire the workmanship of their creations, so there really is a silver lining to a foggy morning.

Shiver me timbers!

A while ago I bought some fabulous pirate themed papers with the idea of doing some page layouts of my boys. Like so many things I've never got around to it yet, but it's my nephew's 8th birthday tomorrow & they gave me the inspiration for his card.

Most of the card has been made using my Cricut machine & the Paper Dolls Cartridge, which I've only just started playing with. It's packed with all sorts of additional accessories (more than I thought) & I'd highly recommend it :o)

The sun has got its hat on (at last)

Finally the sun came out on Sunday. I'd almost forgotten what it looked like....

We went for a walk to the local playing field to collect brambles for my youngest sons stick
insects... (a fairly recent addition to our household!) only to find the brambles were laden with blackberrys. Never being one to turn down free food! a quick dash home for some suitable containers and 45 minutes later...voila!

It's been a mighty long time...

It's been a mighty long time since I last posted....

What with the school holidays and all, I don't know where the time's gone!

But I'm back to it now, and intend to be far more regular (if you see what I mean!)

Even my baking mojo has illuded me for weeks, but no more....finally, a puff pastry triumph in the kitchen....mojo restored

16th Birthday

It's my nieces 16th birthday tomorrow & I've just finished making a card for her.

Hmmm.....I thought....shall I go for cute?, shall I go for girly?....nope, something with attitude lol!

Product review of 3L EZ Runner

I was lucky enough to be picked to review the 3L Scrapbook Adhesive EZ Runner.

I was keen to give it a go as I've tried all sorts of runners & it's an item of 'kit' I wouldn't be without. It's been put through it's paces, so here goes.....

1. How often do you use adhesive?

Every single time I do any crafting...

2. What is the main type of adhesive you use?

Adhesive runners, I love 'em!

3. What do you look for in an adhesive?

Sticking power. Not all are a permanent as they claim.

4. How easy is the product to remove from it's packaging?

Very easy...no probs there

5. Does the product appeal to you, does it look good?

Yup, nice colour, liked the red...

6. How easy is the product to use?

Very easy, pretty much self explanitory

7. How well does the product perform?

Extremely well, it was really sticky, and I liked the fact the tape was in tiny segments, so I

could use tiny amounts.

8. Do you like this product?

Yes! it was nice to hold, and easy to use.

9. Do you consider it good value for money?

At £4.99 it is more expensive than other runners I have had, it's a shame it's not refillable.

10. Would you consider buying this product in the future?

Probably, although the fact it's not refillable does put me off a little.

11. What would make you more likely to buy this product in the future?

If it were a little less expensive and if it could be made refillable.

12. What would make you less likely to buy this product in the future?

I would have to say the price.
